PP - Fig Balsamic and Tuscan Herb Olive Oil

This pairing adds the sweet sticky ripe fig to a classic blend of Tuscan herbs. We love this blended together for a favorite Italian style dressing, but much more rich and flavorful.

We are showcasing it with a Quinoa and Italian Parsley salad. The sweet dressing the tart parsley and blue cheese balance each other very well with quinoa as a nice background.

We also love this combination used in pizzas and flatbreads. Here it shown with a fig and blue cheese flatbread. You can get so creative with flatbreads. Always start with Tuscan Herb olive oil on the bread and fig drizzles as the finish, but what goes in the middle is totally up to you. Another favorite of ours is Parmesan cheese, caramelized onions and sweet Italian sausage.

Finally, a whisked blend of these together (50/50) makes a wonderful glaze for pork loin slices. Cut thick slices, braise or brown the outside, put in the oven at 350 degrees for about 5-10 minutes to finish and to pull out the juices. Blend the juices with your glaze and drizzle it over the slices.
